HOW IT WORKS

The whole mechanic, in plain English.

  1. Enter

Your name, email address, and your state of residence. That's the entire signup. No payment, no credit card, no phone number.

  2. Take the quiz

10 multiple-choice questions, 60 seconds. One theme per contest — the current contest is "Modular Mastery," on the LEGO Modular Buildings Collection. The clock runs across all ten questions and doesn't reset.

  3. Your score is recorded

Two numbers: how many you got right (out of 10), and how long you took — measured to the millisecond. Both matter.

  4. The contest closes

Each contest runs about a week. One entry per person. Duplicate entries aren't counted.

  5. The winner is identified

Highest score wins — the more of the 10 questions you get right, the higher your score. Tied at the top? Fastest completion time is the tiebreaker. No draw, no wheel, no randomness anywhere in the selection.

  6. The prize ships

Winner notified by email within 48 hours of close, prize ships insured within 7 business days of address confirmation. Announced on our social by first name and state only.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What people ask before entering.

How do you stop someone from entering more than once?

Every entry is checked against your email and state before it's accepted. If you've already entered a given contest, the duplicate is rejected outright — not scored, not counted twice.

What happens if I win and don't respond in time?

Winners have 5 business days from notification to confirm their shipping address. If we don't hear back in that window, the prize goes to the next-highest-ranked eligible entry — see the Official Contest Rules, §6.

Is this legal? How is it different from a sweepstakes?

KLAVO contests are skill-based, not chance-based. Winners are determined entirely by quiz score, then completion time as a tiebreaker — no draw, no wheel, no random selection at any stage. That's the legal basis for running this as a skill contest rather than a sweepstakes.

Why don't I see my score right after I finish?

Your score isn't shown to anyone — including you — until the contest closes. That keeps it fair for everyone who plays after you; nobody gets to see the bar they need to beat.

What if I'm not in an eligible state?

KLAVO is open to residents of 43 U.S. states. The entry form checks your state before the quiz starts — if you're in an excluded state, you'll be told right away rather than finding out after you've played.

WHAT KLAVO IS — AND ISN'T

Skill, not luck

Every contest is a real quiz. No random draws, no spin-the-wheel mechanics. Your answers decide the outcome — that's the legal basis and the whole point.

Real shipped prizes

Every winner gets a real LEGO set shipped to their door, insured. Photos and unboxings on @klavogame.

Free during preview

Right now every contest is free. No purchase required, no payment information collected. When paid contests come, the rules publish first.

PAST WINNERS

Real people. Real sets. Every score published.

NO WINNERS YET

Contest #1 is the first one. When it closes, the winner is published here with their score and completion time — the same way every winner after them will be. Nothing gets quietly edited out.

Winners are published by first name and state only, unless they ask us to use more. Scores and completion times are exactly as recorded by the quiz.

WHY I BUILT THIS

Hi - I'm Phil. I built KLAVO because skill contests should be honest. The quizzes are real. The prizes ship. The rules are written in plain English. I'm building this solo, in the open, from New York.

If you have a question, ask me directly.
